Product Empties Master List

Mini reviews of all the products I've finished. Use the search below to find specific products:

Maelove The Glow Maker

Your standard water-like vitamin c with proven supporting ingredients. Love that it doesn’t smell like hot dog water, and it doesn’t sting my skin. Has a natural yellow tint due to extracts used, so it’s harder to gauge the oxidization level. Brightening results are subtle. Not my favorite but it’s still a good vitamin c.

Grow Gorgeous Hair Density Serum Intense

I’ve been using several drops every night on the thinning patches right above my temple, and after several months of consistent use, I’m seeing more baby hair in the area! So it works, but it’s slow, and you need to be consistent! Will keep repurchasing until I find something better.

      Swanicoco FGF Original Ampoule

Should’ve stuck to the Klairs Midnight Youth Activating Drops because this growth factor serum was underwhelming. I did like its light water-like texture but failed to see what it did for my skin, even after I finished the bottle. Hard pass.

Paula’s Choice C5 Super Boost Eye Cream

I had high hopes for this one after seeing the before and after shots from the official website, but of course, my actual results were nowhere close. It did an decent job of moisturizing my undereye area, but not much else. On the plus its light texture feels lovely and layers well under makeup. Could be good for younger folks.

Youth to the People Triple Peptide + Cactus Oasis Serum

Usually I’m pretty excited about peptide based skincare, but this one was…meh, especially for the price. It’s still hydrating and the light texture feels comfortable on the skin, but so do a ton of other hydrating serums out there, at lower prices too. It’s a pass for me.

            Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

Reviewed here. True to its name, it’s both hydrating and gentle, complete with the elegant texture and dewy finish found in 90% of Korean sunscreens. It’s good, albeit a bit forgettable because it’s so similar to other sunscreens. Also it can tingle a bit on initial application if your skin is sensitive.

              Canmake Mermaid Skin Gel UV

An oldie that’s lost its luster to the newer spfs on the market, but I can see why it’s loved. Light texture, feels hydrating, and is alcohol-free. Feels very much like your standard hydrating K-beauty sunscreen, eg. Isntree or Skin1004. Not the best, but a good and affordable option nonetheless.

Haruharu Wonder Black Rice Hyaluronic Toner Review

Full review here. So it’s still not quite a dupe for the SK-II Essence, because nothing gives my skin that refined glow it does, but Haruharu does provide that my-skin-just-chugged-a-whole-bottle-of-water kind of glow (and hydration). If alcohol and fragrance are non-issues this is one worth trying.
