After 2 ranting posts, I’m starting to feel like an old lady, not to mention I’m probably boring you guys. So to redeem my youth (ha!), I’m going to share with you some of my favorite skin care products.
I came up with the weirdest analogy this morning as I was checking my emails: growing in faith and spiritually is like building up your blog. And the funny thing is, I keep making the same mistakes in both.
I was having a dilemma earlier this week. My rehearsal for Korto’s fashion show is this Thursday at 7pm all the way down in Ft. Washington, which is about an hour away from my house without traffic. My parents are both busy that day, so I don’t have a ride or a car, and the rehearsal place is nowhere near a metro station. I really wanted to be a part of the fashion show, because it’s just such a rare and amazing opportunity, but how could I when I couldn’t even make it to the rehearsal? I prayed to God […]
Out of boredom, curiousity, and want to bond with a certain friend, I started watching the first season of Gossip Girl. What can I say, I absolutely love the show. I don’t know if it’s the fashion in there that’s making me adore it or the actual plot and characters, but I love it nonetheless. I especially love Blair’s character, maybe because I see a bit of myself in her. Well, maybe more than a bit. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing though. :/

The reason being is that I read a post that Regina wrote about inappropriate conversion, and though I agree with them on some parts, I find myself standing up for these accused Christians. Now the girl who wrote the post on inappropriate conversion was a Muslim, and when the Christian group tried to convert her at an Arabic festival, I can see why she was annoyed (and amused) at the […]
I’m finally done with exams! You have no idea how absolutely relieved I am to be free of the burden, and it sucks even more because UMD is one of the last schools to get out. Nonetheless, it’s all over now, and I can peacefully enjoy the rest of my summer and fully look forward to going back to Taiwan!
There were a few occasions in Brazil when I served as a translator for an English speaker. He stood before the audience, complete with the message. I stood at his side, equipped with the language. My job was to convey his story to the listeners. I did my best to allow his words to come through me. I was not at liberty to embellish or subtract. When the speaker gestured, I gestured. As his volume increased, so did mine. When he got quiet, I did, too. When he walked this earth, Jesus was translating for God all the time. When […]
