Recent obsession: Oliver Gal artwork for the fashion forward
I’m in one of my MUST-DECORATE-MY-HOUSE mode again, and the easiest way is to add some artwork. Seriously, not rocket science. What is difficult though is finding pieces that: 1) you actually like 2) that fit with your room’s color scheme + style and 3) that aren’t ridiculously expensive. One particular artist (collective) I’ve fallen in love with is Oliver Gal.
I first found their artwork through Joss & Main, and I instantly fell in love with bright colors and fashion motifs. If I had my way I would fill my walls with their art, but alas my fiance thinks a few of them are too girly :( However, we both fell in love with this gorgeous silver x gold Chanel road sign that we think would be perfect for this empty space in the master bedroom:
I’ve been trying to figure out for the longest time what to do with this empty wall space, and as soon as I saw this artwork I was immediately inspired. Normally I don’t let the painting dictate the style of the space, but every once in a while we all need a little inspiration. Now I just need to wait for the furniture pieces to go on sale and I can begin the work!
One thing I really love about Oliver Gal is that their art comes in larger sizes – great if you have large wall space to fill up. Etsy has some great fashion art prints as well, but they’re usually smaller around 8″ x 10″. I might order from Etsy in the future, but for fun, fashionable, statement pieces, Oliver Gal is second to none!
