Makeup organization with acrylic cases
One of my favorite places to shop is HomeGoods, so I was absolutely ecstatic when one opened up 5 minutes away from me. I’ve lost track of the number of things I’ve bought there, but during one of my recent trips I caved and bought some acrylic containers for my makeup.
I previously used a cake stand to display some of my prettier makeup pieces, but it wasn’t very efficient in terms of storage and organization. I considered Muji cases, but they were expensive and too big. These acrylic cases from HomeGoods were the perfect size and didn’t overwhelm my dresser at all.
When it comes down to it, I only use so many products in my usual makeup routine, and all my products fit nicely inside the 3 drawers. My UD Naked palettes had to go into 2 separate drawers, and I also have primers/concealers in the top drawer and blushes and powders in the bottom drawer. There’s actually still a lot of room in there for more products!
This acrylic organizer fits perfectly on top of the drawer and stores just enough products. I use it to store all my prettier makeup (like my YSL lipstick… I really want to buy more!) and because the organizer is small, it doesn’t look too cluttered.
I also have 2 different sized candle holders which I use to hold my makeup brushes and random eye products. Maybe I’ll switch to clear containers for those as well to match my 2 acrylic cases. What do you think?
Of course these aren’t all the products I have, so I store the rest in the top drawers of my dresser. Every once in a while I’ll shop from my own collection and switch up the products in the acrylic cases with the ones in my dresser drawer. It’s like getting new products all over again!
