One of the greatest joys in shopping is discovering something that looks (and feels) much more expensive than it costs. That’s why I love shopping at thrift stores and buying second hand. But sometimes you can get the same excellent value buying brand new, and I’ve confirmed that’s the case with Chloe + Isabel, a jewelry brand I’ve really come to love.
I discovered this brand earlier this year and have been a fan of their pieces ever since. With the release of their Modern Muses collection, which celebrates their own merchandisers (how awesome is that!), I was given the chance to take a closer look at their new pieces. Of all the gorgeous jewelry available, I chose the Hero Metal + Leather Collar Necklace and Petits Bijoux Convertible Circle Studs.
The Hero Metal + Leather Collar Necklace ($68) is not my usual style and I think that’s what drew me to it – it’s simple, a little edgy, and still elegant. I love the metal x leather texture combination, and it’s been my go to statement necklace lately – I always get compliments whenever I wear it! For the best look, pair it with a scoop, crew, boat neck, sweetheart, or off shoulder neckline (neckline reference).
The Petits Bijoux Convertible Circle Studs ($38) are your everyday studs with a twist – you can remove the outer halo to reveal a simple stud, or wear them together for more glam look. Timeless classic design aside, I love that these earrings are hypoallergenic. The piercing in my left ear is super sensitive, so it’ll usually itch and hurt after wearing earrings for more than 5 hours. Yet with the Chloe + Isabel studs, I had no problems wearing these to sleep (albeit by accident) – no itching or pain whatsoever.
If you look at similar pieces in department stores, the price can easily run up to 3-figures. Or if you look at pieces in fast fashion stores, yes the prices are cheaper, but the quality is significantly worse as well. Chloe + Isabel pieces have quality without the cost, and that’s why I’m a big fan.
As with last time, I’m delighted with the 2 pieces I chose.
I also love that I’m supporting a local female entrepreneur whenever I make a purchase. Yay for women supporting each other! I’ve officially joined Chloe + Isabel as a merchandiser, and I’ll be donating 10% of my proceeds to support The Paw Project, an organization that’s advocating and educating against cat declawing.
