Gentle teeth whitening with Smile Brilliant
My biggest gripe with teeth whitening strips found in drugstores? They hurt! Maybe it’s because I have sensitive teeth or maybe it’s because the ingredients are harsh to begin with, but I always struggle with using them because of the discomfort they cause.
The LED teeth whitening system by Smile Brilliant is perfect for those who want great tooth whitening results but are on a budget. Our LED system is competitively priced when compared to popular whitening strips sold at your local grocer; however, it is far more effective due to its 22% carbamide peroxide tooth whitening gel and high strength LED light which accelerates the whitening process. With hundreds of reviews available on the internet and thousands of satisfied customers, our LED teeth whitening system is a superior alternative to over-the-counter whitening products.
The application seems fairly simple. Apply the gel on your teeth using the brush applicator, put on the mouth guard pieces, and position the tool to your teeth. However, I found the gel difficult to apply because it was so gloopy, and then saliva started getting in the way which made things that much harder. Thankfully that was the hardest part of the process – the rest was as easy as it sounds.
You’re supposed to use the light for 20 minutes and keep the gel on for an extra 30 to 1 hour. Sounds easy, but my God I was salivating like a Saint Bernard the whole time, and being afraid to swallow, you can imagine what it was like after 1 hour. Not that it was uncomfortable or anything, just annoying. However, once I started using the product more this became less of an issue.
My first impression after using this was “WOW! It doesn’t hurt at all!” There was no discomfort of any sort, though part of my mouth felt a bit numb afterwards.
Unlike whitening strips which give imeediate results, I saw no difference with this product after my initial use. I have to admit this was a little disappointing, but I knew that I can’t compare apple to oranges. I used this once a week (sometimes twice) for the subsequent 4-5 weeks and I saw some slight improvement.
The only qualm I have with this product is the claim that it restores your teeth back to its original color. Goodness me, it’s been 15+ years since I got these teeth, who knows what the original color was? I’d like to think they were pearly white, which means that this product didn’t live up to its claim. Or maybe they were never that white to begin with, and the product did the best it could. Either way I can’t really tell, which means I can’t really measure how effective the product was.
I don’t like how the effectiveness is so difficult to gauge. This means I could be using the product everyday even though my teeth have already been restored to their original color, and I’d have no way of really knowing. On the other hand, I love how gentle this product is on the teeth, so I guess using it everyday won’t be so bad anyways. For $39.95, this is an affordable option for those who don’t like the harsh strips and are ok with slower results.
