December 2013 BeautyBox 5 review
I’ve recently become a fan of beauty subscription services – what better way to try out new beauty products than to have 5 samples delivered to my home every month? One subscription I have is BeautyBox 5, and it’s definitely one of the more affordable subscriptions at $12/month. Let’s see what we got for the month of December, shall we?
I love the color of the box – it’s like getting a Tiffany’s box filled with cosmetic goodies! After trying out each product for the past few weeks, here’s my review:
This was the first Clean & Clear moisturizer I’ve tried, and it’s a very lightweight, no fuss product. It would be nice for the summertime or for those with oily skin, but I find it lacking in the winter. I’m also not a fan of the artificial watermelon scent.
2. NYX Love in Rio Eyeshadow Palette (Barefoot in the San) – $6.00
I was so pleased to see a full-sized NYX product in the box – they have such quality makeup at affordable prices! The shadows are decent, but the 1st color was way too light for my skin. The 3rd color was a nice matte taupe and my favorite of the 3. Overall it’s a nice neutral palette at an affordable price, but I’m still partial to my UD Nakeds.

3. Every Beauty Flexible Foot Smoother – $4.99
I was definitely not happy to see this, because I frankly don’t care for foot smoothers. Even after I tried it I didn’t notice a difference – maybe my feet aren’t rough enough? Who knows.
4. Ofra Cosmetics Sultry Lipgloss Plumper – $12.95
Lip products are something I can never have enough of, so I was quite excited to try this out. Though I didn’t notice any plumping effects, the color is quite pigmented and the color is perfect for the winter months!

5. Body Drench Daily Moisturizing Lotion (Sugar Cane) – $8.99
I absolutely love the scent of this lotion – it smells like sugar cookies! The scent is quite strong, which is a plus for me, and it also turned out to be quite moisturizing. Though I love my Victoria’s Secret lotions, I will consider purchasing this one in the future.
The best word to describe this month’s beautybox 5 is variety. The range of products I got were quite nice (minus the foot smoother), and I really enjoyed using some of them! Have you tried any of the above products before? Do share!
If you've enjoyed this post or found my blog helpful in anyway, I'd really appreciate if you could take a minute to leave a testomnial for my #SephoraSquad application. I'm hoping with this opportunity I'll be able to provide even better content and beauty related news to you all. Thank you so much!
