  2. Sharon Elsie says:

Amazing review. I love sheetmasks during any time of the year but I have never heard any of these. It’s great that the cheapest one has the best review, must absolutely try the HelloSkin. The Lululun sounds great. I usually get itchiness after wearing anything skin brightening products, love it that this one is gently.

  3. Emily Crawford says:

If there is anything I adore, it’s applying a sheet mask two or three times a week – such bliss!

  4. Mariann Yip says:

I love sheet masks in the winter, this weather definitely takes alot out of my skin! Thanks for the great recommendations! http://mariannyc.com/2017/12/07/holiday-gift-guide-for-the-skincare-lover-in-your-life/

  6. Alyssa says:

I’ve been seeing that HelloSkin mask a lot and in many colors, next time I see it again in the best seller section I may end up getting it just to see why a lot of people love it :D

    • Jenny says:

Yes definitely try them out! I plan on getting the rest of the flavors as well, I just need to make a bigger dent in my current mask stash first before I place another order! ????

  7. Emily says:

I love the layout of this post! Something about the opposite tiles, LOVE IT. I will have oily skin until the day I die haha, so I probably wouldn’t use too many of these masks. But omg that Niang Niang mask has the most gorgeous cover/packaging! Kind of want it for just that haha. And LOL at your T Swift GIF! Hahaha. ;)

    • Jenny says:

Yay, so glad to hear that Emily! Every time you guys notice these small details it makes me super happy, haha. Niang Niang actually has a clarifying mask which I thought was wonderful for the summer time, so you might enjoy that. Plus it has the same pretty artwork! ;)

  8. I haven’t really tried and face masks, but I really want to give them a try. Ugh, discontinued products are so disappointing.

  9. These sheet masks sound great especially the third one! I recently tried the Garnier Moisture Bomb mask and it was so hydrating, I think I’m in love haha. xx

    • Jenny says:

That one definitely has the best value out of the 6 listed, so you don’t have to feel bad about using them often! I’ve never tried Garnier’s masks before, but now I’m curious!

  10. Hannah says:

I don’t try many sheet masks, but my skin is terrible at the minute, so I definitely need to try these! Great post xx

  11. Sam Hodgett says:

Ohh I love when you do these, though I have still to properly hop on board the sheet mask wagon. My skin is starting to become extremely dry with the colder months so I’ll be sure to check a few of these out. btw love that whole gif and taylor swift reference, I feel exactly the same way when brands do that!

Sam Hodgett || Beauty, Food & Lifestyle

    • Jenny says:

Yay, so glad to hear that Sam! Honestly I don’t understand why brands are so quick discontinue/reformulate products out of the blue like this, especially when the products were great just the way they are! D:

  12. Marina Rosie says:

The Hello Skin mask sounds absolutely wonderful – I’m very picky about sheet mask material so I will definitely have to pick it up, even just for the material haha! xx I get very dry skin during winter so this post has been bookmarked! x Haha, the gold masks looked so good – such a shame, how silly of a brand to discontinue something of quality!! x

    • Jenny says:

I know! They were actually 2 of my favorites too, so now I’ll just have to treasure the 6 sheets I have left! *cries* Luckily the helloskin masks haven’t been discontinued yet, and they have other varieties like firming and brightening that also look great!

  13. Kathryn says:

I love a good sheet mask! For some reason I get out of the habit of using them, and it isn’t until I get one again that I remember why I loved it in the first place, LOL. Thanks for listing these ones, I’m excited to check out some I hadn’t heard of before.

    Kathryn • simplykk.com

    • Jenny says:

Haha, I get that way with sheet masks sometimes, which is why I need to keep my stash stocked with different varieties so I don’t get bored :P Hope you’ll enjoy them as much as I do if you do try them!

  14. I know I don’t talk about them much on my blog but sheet masks are a vital step in my skincare especially during the winter months. All of these are new to me though I think I may have gotten a Neogence mask through my 3B Beauty subscription once and I have tried the regular Lululun masks. The Lululun One White Mask sounds really nice and that sleek packaging looks good as well. I’m the type who totally gets sucked in by packaging LOL I have a crazy sheet mask stash that I’m always try to work through and I still need to start using the one month supply of Peach Slices sheet masks that I won from Peach & Lily ;p

Speaking of giveaways, you’re the lucky winner of my blog anniversary giveaway. I just sent you an email about it :D

    • Jenny says:

How do you like the regular Lululun masks? I saw those as well and the prices are much lower, which is great because sheet masks costs can really add up in the long run! I get sucked in by packaging as well, which is why I bought a bunch of L’herboflore masks, except those turned out to be a huge disappointment :(

I can’t wait to try out the products in the giveaway, seriously thank you so much Rowena!! <3

  15. Kay (shoesandglitter) says:

I too love sheet masks! But oh my, I definitely know what you mean, it’s really not pleasant slapping one on on a cold winter evening… ! Might partially be why I haven’t given myself a sheet mask treatment in a very long time, it’s incredibly cold here! Really loving your picks, some great choices here. :) Thank you for sharing, lovely! xoxo

    • Jenny says:

I think they sell sheet mask warmers on Amazon that I might consider getting, though occasionally I like the coldness as it helps when my skin is feeling flushed!

  16. Sam says:

Sheet masks are the beesttt! I wish I had more – I used to have a ton but after finishing them all up I haven’t really replenished my stash. I haven’t heard of any of these (which is awesome, I love not knowing brands beforehand because it’s such an eye-opener!) but the helloskin sounds amazing. & somehow it’s the cheapest??? Woot!

    Sam / My Beauty Cloud

    • Jenny says:

They really are, they make such a difference for my skin! The helloskin one comes in other versions and I heard that they’re all really good, will need to add them to my collections soon! :D

  17. Becky says:

eeee, i have to get back into my sheet masking! i’ve been enamoured by my wash-off masks lately (especially the kiehls calendula and aloe one that i can’t shut up about) but sheet masks do SO much more for my skin than wash off masks do.

i’m sorry for your loss! it’s the worst when brands discontinue our favorite products :'( i haven’t tried any of these masks before, though i usually go to the cheaper/lower end masks because they work just fine for me on a day to day basis. the niang niang mask sounds right up my alley – i’ll have to try those out when i’m not as poor hahaha

    becky @ star violet

    • Jenny says:

I just got the Kiehl’s calendula mask last weekend and now I’m super excited to try it! I try to stick to more affordable masks as well, but since I don’t sheet mask that often, I don’t mind splurging on a few pricier ones to treat my skin ????

  18. élise says:

oooh i didn’t know some brightening sheet masks can irritate the skin! i’ve only ever used one or two and i don’t see how it’s brightening hahaha i think that’s kind of my review for sheet masks in general – they’re good for instant hydration but nothing more than that. i bought a pore refining sheet mask from Rohto before but eh, i don’t see anything else other than hydration :)) the only reason why i use sheet mask is only because i love the cold, moist sensation and i don’t use them very often because they get costly imo.

oh speaking of lululun, i’ve been curious about their sheet masks too! they’re soooo hyped over at japan! after trying it out, can you relate to it? xD

ugh i also hate it when brands discontinue products! i’m like well then now what am i gonna use if i cannot get that thing again??? sigh. and then sometimes, they end up coming out with a lame replacement to compensate deleting one that’s already good, smh.

    • Jenny says:

I think if you have healthy skin brightening masks will be perfectly fine, but when your moisture barrier is damaged I do think in general brightening ingredients can be more sensitizing than say hydrating ingredients ????
As for their brightening abilities, it’s hard to tell because your skin automatically looks brighter when it’s hydrated, which happens with 99% of the sheet masks, so it’d take consistent use to see a difference, and that can definitely get pricey. ????
Tbh these are the first Lululun masks I’ve tried and I can see why they’re popular. I know they also have cheaper versions that come in 10 per bag, but my experience with bagged sheet masks have been pretty negative so far, so I doubt I’ll try theirs anytime soon.
Totally don’t get the discontinuation of products either, especially good products. Or reformulations. 9/10 times they change the formula for the worse and I’m like why was that even necessary???

  19. An Dang says:

Great review! I love sheetmasks during any time of the year. The Niang Niang sounds great, I’m Always curious if expensive mask work better than the addordable ones. The Lululun is something I just got while I was in Japan, still have to try it out~!
    xx, An – http://www.thebeauparlour.com

    • Jenny says:

Thank you An! I definitely have used some great cheap sheet masks and some awful expensive ones, so I don’t think more expensive = better, which makes it even harder to sift through the millions of options out there ???? I do wish I bought more sheet masks in Japan, especially the pricier ones as the cost is almost double here in the US!

  20. Sal UmmBaby says:

I don’t know why brands have to torture us like that! Just make the good stuff…forever. Its not hard. You have some wonderful picks here and I would happily try out any of them. I think Neogence is the only one I’ve heard of here but I will be saving this for when I need new sheet masks to try out xxxx
    UmmBabyBeauty

    • Jenny says:

Right?? Or at least come out with a replacement product! I guess those masks weren’t doing too well, so maybe I’m in the minority for liking them. ????????‍♀️???? If you do try these masks out I hope you like them as much as I do!

  21. Shireen says:

I adore sheet masks but must admit that I have never even heard any of these. Isn’t it a lovely surprise that the cheapest one listed here actually gives amazing results? Cheap + Amazing results = Shireen happy

    Shireen⎜Reflection of Sanity

    • Jenny says:

Mission accomplished! ???? I figured it’d be more interesting/helpful if I shared some lesser known brands, though I still love my classic MBDs ;) The Helloskin mask is fantastic, they have more varieties on Althea!

  22. Kiran says:

I don’t have dry skin and I am still steadily working away at my Tony Moly sheet masks but these sound so great, my sister would love to try them all! Might get her a selection for Christmas so she can look extra good in 2018 haha, thank you for sharing! Xxx

  23. As one who has dry skin, I appreciate this post Jenny. I’m really interested in the “snotty” LOL (I couldn’t stop laughing) one and the Hello Skin Jumiso Woah Woah Soothing Mask. Also thanks for suggesting the lululun one white mask. I usually have problems with anything skin brightening, so it’s good to hear this one is gentle.

    • Jenny says:

Haha, I actually don’t remember the exact texture of that mask since I used it more than a month ago, but I reviewed my notes and I wrote “essence felt like snot” ????????

  24. I haven’t tried any of these and belong to the fraction of people out there that actually don’t enjoy sheet masks that much. I just feel like I get more out of regular masks? But every now and again I slap on one and enjoy the hydration.
